Might just want to get a larger drive instead of 2 drives, two drives is twice the failure risk. EDIT: And think about your backups too, what are you going to do for backups.

I went with 32GB of RAM but I run virtual machines. And when I got mine RAM was cheaper too.

How large are the RAW files I guess is the question.. if they'll fit entirely in RAM with 32GB but not with 16GB it might be worth it, or might be worth seeing if someone with the same kind of work has done any comparison benchmarking.

If you're not doing any gaming I guess the question is does the photo and video editing software leverage the GPU or not, I don't do enough of that to know. If it does then which one might make a big difference.
