I posted that after episode 12 I think. Somehow 13 got even worse.

I'd honestly rank that as one of the sharpest declines in a show since the last season of Dexter. Or maybe how 24 just got progressively dumber and they had to make each season bigger with dumber and dumber twists until it became almost like a parody of itself.

I rarely give up on a show but if season 6 came out next week I wouldn't have any inclination or desire to watch even an episode.

Too bad. I loved the political wheeling and dealing of the first couple seasons. It was like a constant chess match to see how Frank would out manoeuvre his enemies. Now it's like a bad soap opera.

And btw my jumped the shark comment was about

And don't get me started on how random and stupid everything about Patricia Clarkson's character was. She just randomly showed up one episode and was instantly this vital character.

Otherwise it is hard to explain how they included such a hilariously stupid and random twist like that. Was like they wrote themselves into a corner and figured they could just deus ex machina themselves out of it and if they just pretended her character never existed we'd all just forget about it. From Reddit lol "You know how the term 'jump the shark' came when fonzi jumped over the sharked while surfing in happy days?
