And that is exactly what made it more palatable then. You knew they were nowhere near the budget of the big market teams, and had a vastly inferior roster. It is easy to cheer for an under dog.
Now though, to be essentially a cap team for what? 6 years now, and to have not won a single playoff round? Leaves a bitter taste in your mouth. I believe it was coroporatejay that said once a fan could do a better job running this team, and when he got called out his response was priceless "I guarantee I could manage this team into 3 straight years without playoffs." or something of the sorts.
