If you're talking about me (as I'm the only one who mentioned cost) then no I wasn't speaking to "$10 a month is too much", that's oversimplifying what I said.

I was speaking to the saturation of too many streaming services in the game with a small smattering of good shows and movies each. But if you paid for each one just to occasionally watch something actually good you'd be paying $50-70/mth or $600-$840 a year.

They prey on the average consumer looking at things in monthly terms instead of annual, hook line and sinker. "It's only $10/mth, for this one and this one and this one and this one, $10/mth is nothing!!!!".
