The wife and I finished GLOW last night and we both loved it. Alison Brie absolutely killed it this season, she was always good on Community, but she really dials her performance up on GLOW.
As a bit of a wrestling nerd, I loved that they showed the women working through their match sequences and building up the story in the ring. And even details like bandaging each other up after "fighting" each other in the ring, I've never been backstage at a wrestling show... but it felt like a real peak behind the curtain.
If you enjoyed Marc Maron's performance you should check out his
IFC show Maron. It only ran for four season, but it's essentially a fictionalized version of Marc, and delivers a similar cynical/black comedy type of character. I think it's available on Netflix as well.
