Default Commission Pay in Alberta

Hoping one of the CP legal minds can help me out:

is there any standard in Alberta for WHEN a company has to pay out commissions to their employees, or is it all subject to the employment contract you signed?

I.E. A customer paid their bill in April, is there a specific timeframe the company must pay out that commission to the employee?

Thanks in advance for any help - my google-fu failed me on this one.
