Two drives in an array mirrored is ok for redundancy, it helps prevent downtime and hassle in the case of hardware failure, but don't depend on it for a backup.
The question generally is does the extra cost of having a 2nd mirrored drive offset the cost of running out to the store and get a new 4TB drive and doing restores to be back up and running.
Because mirroring doesn't protect against corrupt files, human error, setting the computer on fire, malware, voltage spikes, etc.
