If you had the 20% down, would it be wise to get into something like this (new modern condo + location) rather than say a starter home out in Nolan Hill?
I think for me, I am willing to compromise space for modern interiors + location but I've been on the fence about house vs condo.

I am not sure how you can compare a starter home in Nolan Hill to the 565k 2 bedroom or 900k+ 3 bedroom condos in LIDO.
The first thing you need to decide on is location or square feet. Once you have this figured out it is easy to see which direction you are headed. Factor in the budget and it narrows your search even further.
