For me, it's G-Sync (or FreeSync if you run AMD) or nothing, so an
ACER Predator XB241H 24in Full HD 165Hz - $560
would be my minimum, note however that it's a TN panel monitor (not as vibrant as IPS, blacks aren't as deep) and only 24in/1080p.
Personally I'd save up a bit more and go for a
ASUS ROG Swift PG278QR 27in WQHD 165Hz - $930 (1440p)
or
ACER Predator XB271HU 27in Widescreen IPS - $1k (this is what I have, 1440p)
For another $50-$60 you can get the 4K model of both, but you'd need to have a GPU that can run well at 4K first.
