You could try Gallagher Lake. It's in Oliver, BC. It's a private, small, spring-fed lake and its warm. Nice beach with paddle boats, etc. No power craft are allowed. Perfect for young kids. They have a lodge and these little cabins. We stayed in the cabins. My kids loved it there when they were small.
