so I managed to catch the season ending final - Fire Across the Galaxy. And everything came together. There was a massive Empire Strikes back feel to this whole episode, but I'll go into that under the Spoiler tags. In terms of where this sits, probably one of the better epsidoes in the Animated Galaxy series that includes The Clone Wars. Of course, the whole Umbria Story Line in the Clone Wars was incredibly epic.

But this last episode really sets things up for season two.

Our Rebels decide to completely ignore Fulcrums commands in terms of not resuing Kanan. They actually link things together nicely as they steal a Imperial Supply Ship and use the Tie Fighter that they stole earlier in the episode, which had been repainted by Sabine.

They know that Kanan is being taken to Mustafar the place where Jedi's go to die.

We see Kanan getting tortured by the Inquisitor, we get hints about how Kanan survived Order 66 by fleeing when his master tells him to run. The Inquisitor basically uses what he see's as Kanan's guilt against him.

Ezra manages to rescue Kanan but the whole thing is a trap as the Inquisitor wanted this fight all along and takes on Kanan and Ezra. The whole fight had a great feel to it like the Phantom Menace two on one deal. We get to see how polished the Inquisitor is, and he seemingly kills Ezra. Instead of enraging Kanan he response that he has nothing left to feel and the fight changes direction. Kanan defeats the Inquisitor and gives him a chance to surrender, but the Inquisitor replies that "There are worse things to fear then death" and leaps to his own demise.

The Rebels try to escape in their stolen Tie Fighter, but a major battle erupts, The Rebels can't find the Transport ship and it looks like they're doomed. Suddenly a rebel fleet jumps into the system and all hell breaks loose, this is a great battle.

The Rebels escape to the Ghost and make the jump to lightspeed.

We see a cloaked figure on the bridge of the ghost talking to Bail Organa. Its Fulcrum and Fulcrum is as expected a older Ashoka Tano. Great review. She indicates that the state of rebellion has changed.

We go back to the Imperials as Agent Kallus and Tarkin are discussing how some might see the Empire as weak. Tarkin replies that there is an alternate solution as Darth Vader comes down the ramp from his shuttle.

Overall a great episode and some great scenes.

Thoughts for next year

Ashoka is back and she's one of the rebel leaders. Does she know about Vader and who he is, are we going to get a very emotional reunion between the two where we see how far Vader is willing to go?

With the death of the Inquisitor, I would think that we're going to get another Dark Side villain, I still think it makes sense that Ashoka's former best friend Barriss is a inquisitor.

I'm hoping we get some back story on how Ashoka and Kanan escaped order 66. I'd also like to see more of a back story on Sabine who went through the Imperial Academy.

Ezra is going strong in the force, but they have to resist the temptation to make him too strong, We don't need a Star Killer plot cheater here.

I have a feeling that we're going to see some of the familiar clone faces next year. It would be great to see Vader's 501 Legion made up strictly of familiar clones like Cody and others.

I think this series is going to leave Lothal behind as its main setting and become more galaxy wide.

I don't think Vader will be the regular villain next year. Timing wise he would be at the height of his power and rage, there would be very little of Anakin stirring in him even in a confrontation with Ashoka. He would basically slaughter this rebel cell and move on and he would have no reason to hesitate in killing Ezra and Kana.

What is the thing worse then death that the Inquisitor feared? A confrontation with Vader or worse yet the Emperor? I think we find out next season"
