It was always a little ridiculous to think Roger was just gonna show up in Paris without even a single exhibition match on clay. Clay is the worst surface to play on with so many long rallies, and his approach of playing quick points doesn't work on the slow clay like it does hardcourts and grass. Wouldn't surprise me if we don't ever see him play on clay again. I think if he plays 2-3 more years (and I think he will), his schedule may very well be Australia to Miami, and Grass to the US Open, that's it. But that's fine, it maximizes his chances to go out with another major or even two and a couple more 1000 wins.
