There are multiple screen modes that you can choose. The best is pixel perfect doubling. The original games were designed in a 1:1 aspect (a pixel is a perfect square afterall) so you can't get around that without distorting the games. There's no way to expand to full widescreen without having glitches or stretched pixels. Even 4:3 is slightly stretched from pixel perfect.
