Use the quick line thing in Dinseyland where you go and get a ticket that tells you what time to come back. Allows you to skip a huge chunk of the line.
California Adventures isn't nearly as good as Disneyland but also isn't nearly as busy. So if you are going to be through the weekend - target Disneyland for a weekday and CA for Sat or Sun.
