A) Your friends sound like jabronis. Don't want to shell out to go to Vegas, that's fair. Insist on having another stag they can attend, that's pushing it. Refuse to plan and then refuse to do the activity the groom presumably wants to do because they are too cheap is grade A d-bag behaviour.

B) Whenever I've golfed for a stag (barring one where it was all low handicappers who wanted to play for real) we've done best ball / scramble which works nicely. It let's the non-golfers get involved and we would add drinking requirements like birdie juice or shotgun after certain holes. It's not a real round of golf but it's more fun for everyone and it doesn't hold up the course.

C) I'd recommend Heatherglen for your purposes. Mckenzie is way overpriced.

D) I hope a Topgolf opens in Calgary. Went there in Scottsdale with a stag of 12 guys where only 3 of us were golfers and everyone had a blast. The food was awesome as well.
