I nearly rolled off my seat with laughter on this one. I'm in the same boat. My wife and debt are polar opposites. Suffer a bit now in terms of financing, but reap the benefits down the line.

That being said, I would look into investment property (i.e. rental income), especially with the saturation of the condo market at this point. Condo prices (if you look) are somewhat affordable, and you can easily rent them out for more than your mortgage/condo fees/utilities combined. If you choose to furnish them, you can have even more revenue.
