I remember hearing or reading somewhere that most teams thought that 12 rounds were so long, and they sometimes had trouble accommodating so many prospects. Some teams would draft players that they never thought would come over just to avoid having to deal with so many kids.



Did I dream this up somehow? For the life of me, I can't exactly remember where I picked this up from (and it was probably 20 years ago that I heard it).
