Sounds like a fun trip. I assume you will be going to Munich, so if you want to get out of the city it isn't to far to drive south to the Alps. It's a bit over an hour to Garmisch(an old Olympic town), or you can go farther east to Salzburg which is an awesome city. That whole area is really nice to drive around. Lots of cable cars to the tops of mountains, too.
