Well I'm going to take a completely different stand than other people.
I think you should be able to challenge any call but it has to be conclusive to overturn the call on the ice and an unsuccessful challenge results in a 2min delay of game penalty. Then put a maximum of 2 or 3 unsuccessful challenges per game just to make sure a coach doesn't go off the deep end and cause havok in the last minutes if he's pissed off. Only the obvious missed calls are going to get challenged, nobody is going to challenge an offside that is "millimeters".
