I'm not seeking a level of difficulty, but I find that King just shakes me off very quickly.

I've enjoyed biographies, science fiction, very entertained earlier by Peirs Anthony for his crazy world, and Terry Goodkind is a favorite for the sword of truth series (minus the last couple books).

King, Clancy, and other airport novels just give the sense of a rushed product.

But I do like King's movies. Growing up, my family and I stayed up waiting for that 5 part The Stand showing on TV and was very drawn into it, but I did not enjoy the books still.

So i think he has good stories but I do not want to read them to enjoy them.
