Pick a continuity.
Blaster offed the Decepticon in charge on Cybertron (Straxus). Was the Autobot choice to replace Grimlock as leader (Comic Grimlock, not comic relief Grimlock). Rocked the Combaticons himself. Infact for the entirety of Budianski's run he was one of the highest page time characters after introduction. Simon Furman didn't like the character as much so he disappeared after Underbase.
Then there's the fact he's "The Voice" in IDW.
And yeah, the TF community is very angry and judgmental. Also, the majority of TF fans hate Arcee in general. Female robots are stupid.
