I agree and disagree... if the Flames can get a good young RW or fill an immediate hole then I'd do it (I still think Evander Kane, especially if Buff retains some salary) and give up other assets but it would have to be a really good deal. I just think that even though this isn't a really highly rated draft, there will be some pretty decent players in it. Other teams might be willing to move their picks and if the Flames get a chance to draft Tippet or Foote(or anyone else they really like), they should jump at it. The perceived value of picks isn't that high this year so they likely won't get much for theirs but picking up other firsts won't cost as much either. I'm really high on Tippet, Foote and Hague so if they can get one or more of those guys it would be awesome and I do think there's a chance because I think teams will be more willing to trade this years picks.
