To a point I guess, but how many people buying these shelled out for the same games on Virtual Console, or remixed or re-releases on SNES,GBA WII, WIIU, etc...
How popular was Super Mario All Stars, which was essentially* also banking on nostalgia?
I don't know if the choice to limit supplies is going to create and keep more interest after Christmas or not, but I'm pretty sure Nintendo's nostalgia bank runs pretty deep.
