Good news about Daniels (could be in Friday against the Bombers) and a new defensive lineman has been signed...
The Stamps added a little veteran experience to their practice roster on Monday morning when they signed international defensive lineman Aston Whiteside.
The 28-year-old has 43 games of CFL experience, having split his time between the Toronto Argonauts and the Redblacks over the past three years, piling up 43 tackles – including five for loss – 12 sacks, and seven forced fumbles.
“I’ve liked him as a player, I think he’s good good edge-pressure, he’s got a high motor,” Dickenson said. “Our d-line has been hit big-time at the defensive end position, and also Charleston is a little bit nicked-up, too. It was a no-brainer.
“I think we got a pretty good football player and if we have to and he needs to play, I’m confident he can get the job done.”
