Perhaps in the future when there is more computing power and the ai can learn. The biggest reason exploits work is the computer has no memory to stop a repeated behavior.

The reason a cross crease pass would work so well is the computer always plays the shooter 100 percent. So it is always beneficial to pass. If the computer could realize that it was going to always be a pass it could adjust and cover it better. That would then allow the player to take the shot sometimes and hope for the best. Instead the shot has 0 percent chance and pass has 75 percent. Just as an example.
