I would compare the image of the Vive to slightly better than a current gen phone (Galaxy 6, etc.) through Google Cardboard but with better lenses so you are closer to the action.
Or just come to http://www.level1vr.com/ and try the Vive for ~$20/hour with a good complement of games. |
I ended up with a Vive a couple weeks back after posting that. I actually decided on the Rift but when I went to the MS Store they didn't sell them in store and the Vive was on sale $100 off.
