Center Matt Duchene, who missed Tuesday's 3-2 shootout loss at San Jose with a groin injury, didn't participate in an optional practice Wednesday but hasn't been ruled out of Thursday's game. Duchene leads the Avs in scoring (17 points), assists (11) and average ice time (21:21), playing 17-of-18 games. He had off-ice treatment Wednesday and will be a game-day decision. ... Defenseman Erik Johnson skated before some of his teammates Wednesday. He suffered a concussion Feb. 11 against the Phoenix Coyotes.
