Default "not enough network storage to process this command"

I just update my windows 7 PC to service pack one.

Prior to doing this we used to get the error "not enough network storage to process this command" when other computers were trying to access my machine (it stores our data and acts like a server)

When we encountered this problem in the past a Google search lead us to many solutions something about ippstacks etc.. which none worked.

Then I found a link that indicated we need to edit the registry to make my machine "act like a server" This fixed the problem

I have tried to search Google again and cannot find this link.

I am wondering if the update I did today would change this fix and change it back to the windows default?

If it does, has anyone else experienced this, and if they have a link to make my windows 7 pro machine "act like a server"

If windows update does not change this setting then all is ok.
