The most obvious masterpiece of this style is the recorded version of Comfortably Numb.
I'm kind of surprised that I couldn't find them playing live with an actual orchestra, as it seems like something they'd do.
Various editions of the band and their solo tours had enough classical and rock musicians playing with them that should almost count!
