Or possibly:
3) The Flames feel Kanzig is further ahead in his development and ready for the AHL
4) Kanzig was better in Adirondack
5) Stockton may be more in need of a 'shut-down' guy.
I don't think that the Flames are down on Kanzig. Even if he doesn't make the NHL, you reward a kid who is so committed and hardworking, as it rubs off on other prospects.
