Lazar-Bennett-Versteeg
Jankowski-Stajan-Brouwer

Or some other combo. I would see Foo/Lazar/Jankowski then competing for playing time.
Why would it be disappointing that Jankowski isn't better with no NHL experience? I can almost guarantee he will be worse at faceoffs than Stajan. Stajan will also have an edge in NHL positioning for a centre. AHL is a little more loose in that regard.
I'd start Stajan at C and Jankowski on his wing, and then try and transition the two players as Jankowski gets used to NHL speed of play and decision-making, and after we see how his faceoffs are whenever Stajan gets tossed.
