The point as I see it was to complain about how in fortuitous it is that the Flames continue to win at the expense of their draft lottery odds, and to undermine any achievement that occurs in the final stretch of meaningless games as somehow invalid as a consequence of circumstances.
On both counts the sentiment is petty and juvenile in light of the very bright future that appears for the Flames young stars, as if they are somehow handcuffed from achieving it in the absence of a high draft pick in 2016.
I personally find it bothersome as a distraction from seeing a lot of positive and potential for next season. And I find this rather absurd given the terribly slim margins that now exist for every team to win the draft lottery. In other words, it is just not at all worth complaining about.
