We are doing a raffle. It's 16 kids and each family is responsible for selling 30 tickets and the tickets cost $20 each, which works out to $9600. Last year if a family was having trouble selling the tickets we would all pitch in and help.

Out of that the managers are buying a $2,000 travel voucher, an ipad, and $250 in booze to give away as prizes.

This leaves just over $6,000 for the season. The money should cover 4 tournaments throughout the years, all the relevant coach requirements (Safety, Coach course, etc.), pucks, pylons, practice jerseys, and other equipment required, and a few social events for the kids.

I'm not sure where you are located, but every association I have been part of in Calgary has paid for all coaching certification and provided basic necessities like pucks and pylons.
