And there's definitely something off about God Hates Us All. I don't think the songs themselves are that bad, it's just something about the recordings. World Painted Blood suffers the same thing.

The correct response is they all sound the same. I remember actually laughing out loud at the stretch between Disciple and Exile, because they all started with a very similar riff that had slight differences to them. Slayer gets some credit for not compromising their sound, but at the same time they still haven't made an album I'd consider very good since 1991. Christ Illusion was good but the rest were mediocre.
