If it doesn't strictly have to be the Island and you want remote, there's usually a a fair bit of remote areas of land for sale up in the Gold Bridge/Bralorne area, in BC, west of Lillooet.
If you want super remote, boat or float plane access only, lots of small islands and inlets north of Vancouver Island would probably suit.
