If they were going to use the super idol to save one of them, why not just each play an idol before the votes were read? Jason, Tai and Scot would then all be safe, and would be in the same position as if they had used the super idol to save Scot and Tai survived the revote. I don't think it was a well thought out plan, but Jason and Scot don't seem to be that smart. I get that they hoped the others would turn on themselves and they'd get to keep both idols going forward, but they should have known they'd get votes against them.
