The way I see it, Tai didn't have much of a choice, if he had played the super idol, with him and Audrey with two votes, it would have gone to a revote and the girls would have gutted Tai, because they didn't know that Jason didn't have the idol.
Overall Tai put on his big boy pants and made a huge move, he's also made himself look a little untrustworthy in the game.
