I bought a Marantz receiver last year. Can't remember the model name, but it was $1600 so it's pretty decent. The only thing is, I want it to go even louder and I'm pretty sure my speakers could take it.
I would like it to have the ability to go so loud that I would never want to go as loud as it can go. Right now, sometimes I'll listen to it at full blast, but I think it would be cool if it was even louder. What do you do in that case? Is their an external amplifier I should buy? If I do that, would I just plug the speaker wires out from my receiver into the amplifier, then speaker wires would come out of that and go into the speakers?
