Example is when I go to waive/send down and put in my password, three dots come up. Which ones mean what? I'm trying to send down Andreas Johnson.
Johnson's 21, so you can do the third one. From memory:

1. Put the guy through waivers, where he can be claimed, but he remains in the NHL if he is claimed or clears.
2. Put the guy through waivers, where he can be claimed. If he's claimed, he goes to the NHL team of the GM who claims him, and if he clears, he goes to the AHL.
3. This option allows you to directly send a guy down if he is 23 or under. (Do this for Johnson)
