I was lukewarm on the acquisition when I first heard about it... but between the salary retained and thinking about the other options, I can live with it and take a wait and see approach.

It sounds from this interview like prices were very high for young goalies... and the idea of anyone else more than two years seems like a bad move.

For the cap hit / term, this could be a successful move.

I think he has some game left in him (I HATED seeing the Flames play him last year, he was frustrating standing on his head) and don't see his age as an issue with just two years left.

I felt really good going into last season and the opening month was a disaster. I have a feeling despite not being 100% sold on this option it will turn out better and above expectation.

Trust Tre's judgement. Excited to get behind this decision and hope it works out.
