Ahhh the irony of some of this garbage and how little it will do to actually reduce energy consumption in large scales.

Aren't energy efficient light bulbs already available for the majority of the public? How much mercury has been improperly been exposed for people who don't actually recycling these things in the proper way?

How much GHG emissions will be reduced from water efficient aerators in a bathroom? LOL.

While the province will spend hundreds of millions paying for the installation of LED bulbs and for someone to screw an aerator onto your kitchen tap, there isn't any money that has been allocated for the new LRT line. At least this project could reduce automobile use, improve transit to a massive population base, provide quality construction jobs and more.

What about looking at the possibility of a Calgary to Edmonton high speed train? If we are actually going to be having a carbon tax, let's at least use the proceeds in a matter that best attempts to achieve its goals and nevermind the BS.
