I totally agree and the documentary summed it up perfectly, every era looks back at the previous era and says "this was the glory days" but really, it wasn't. When Dana Carvey was on the other week and they did church lady and wayne's world they were funny mostly for nostalgia's sake and not really because they were inherently funny and it's not like the differed a tonne from when they aired in the 90s. You tend to remember the gems and forget the misses.

I would argue that some of the most memorable sketches/digital shorts were from the last 4-5 years (dick in a box, mother lover, anything with John Hamm).
