I have no hands on experience with this but I would think that if you do it you are making a statement to yourself that your taking a stand etc. etc. I think it may be something you can rally around and after you do it you can continue on with other changes. I wouldn't pay much to do it as there are many home made varieties to cleanse but if nothing else you are sending yourself a strong message (think Twisted Sister "we're not going take it.....).
