LAVERTU SIGNS NEW DEAL WITH STAMPS!

The Calgary Stampeders have re-signed national offensive lineman Pierre Lavertu. The three-year veteran from Universite Laval had been eligible to become a free agent in February.
Lavertu has played 41 regular-season games and made 29 starts over three seasons with the Red and White. He was a West Division all-star at centre in 2015 as he helped the Stamps allow a league-low total of 33 sacks. Lavertu made eight starts at centre in 2016 before suffering a season-ending ankle injury.
