I remember some people complaining about it. That it would obscure the view, lower the demand for those seats, and the usual redneck macho "#####" complaints of the weakening of society.

Same people probably complained about this too. How they were forcing "real men" to turn into pussies or the horror of them forcing their kids to wear a helmet.
