Drury18's Player of the Month for January: David Wolf. With 7G and 2A in the 8 games in January prior to his call up to Calgary, Wolf became an unexpected offensive leader for the Adirondack Flames. Wolf scored points in 6 straight games and goals in 4 straight. Amazingly, during this streak Wolf did not record a single penalty minute and has not recorded a penalty since December 31st. Wolf also proved to be a versatile player during this time as he played with a number of linemates including Ferland, Poirier, Reinhart, McGrattan, Elson and Van Brabant while accumulating the points.

Honourable Mention: Emile Poirier. Yes, here is his name again. This kid is just like the Energizer Bunny. He keeps going and going and going. With 2G, 6A in 8 games, he was the 2nd highest scorer in January on the Adirondack Flames. If not for Drew Shore joining the team earlier this month, Poirier would be the points leader and points per game leader on the Flames. At the All Star Weekend, Poirier was the 2nd fastest skater in the AHL All Star Skills Competition and contributed 1G and 2A in the All Star Game.

Corey Potter should also be mentioned as he had 5A in 6GP in January. In fact, most of the Flames defence should be recognized as they were in on 17 of the 28 goals scored in January. Quite a bit of our offense actually came from the defence or originated from good plays by our defencemen. Yonkman, Ramage, Culkin, Potter, Acolaste and Wotherspoon were all involved in the January scoring.
Like to see the individual stats (goals, assists, points) as non cumulative for each month.
