I'd read years ago that Cranbrook held the title for most hours of sun per day in Canada. Probably no longer the case, but you'd certainly save on heating bills! I'm not a fan of small town living myself, but I would definitely consider Cranbrook
When I last visited one thing I noticed was there were a lot of 'interesting' young people, lol. Kind of like Kelowna but more legit
