Gurriel had 5 HR and Varsho 27 when the trade was made
Let’s not act like we were attempting to trade power for defense . Gurriel was actually a salary dump in that trade that completely rediscovered his power stroke
Even then he only had 4 HR more then Varsho last year
The issue is Kirk and Varsho can’t hit water falling out of a boat, and Vladdy has become a 25 HR guy
