I never understood the desire to waste money on guest speakers for these types of events. Instead of hiring someone that is going to give a boring/lame speech they should hire someone that can provide something entertaining like a comedian or whatever. I'd like to see them bring in hypnotists to real dig into how the board actually thinks, and to make the CEO believe they are Spongebob for the duration of the event.
