Sure, but I'm talking specifically about the powerplay.
They're still professional hockey players, presumably they can think and pass quickly with the added advantage of space and time.
Keep it simple, but its gotta be fast. Make the defenders move.
You dont need a Powerplay that only the greatest collection of greats can manage, you can still make it fast and deceptive.
The Flames' powerplay is woeful. Come on. I dont buy the 'there isn't enough talent' card. If there isn't enough talent then dumb it down. Someone in front and then move the puck around the perimeter. You can do something more than firing it at shinpads or the goalie's chest.
